Voci dal Pleistocene: the deep time of Casal de’ Pazzi becomes a podcast by CNR ISPC
The work is designed both for remote listening from home and as an interactive audio guide to enrich visits directly at the museum. The reference PNRR project is “Museo di Casal de’ Pazzi accessibile” (CUP J89I22002770006), funded by the European Union under NextGenerationEU and promoted by the Ministry of Culture.
Across 6 episodes, the podcast addresses the topics of the Pleistocene deposit of Rebibbia in an engaging, popular science tone: from the discovery of the site in the 1980s to the formation of stratigraphic deposits, the reconstruction of the ancient landscape along with the animals, plants, and human groups that lived there, up to the museum setup choices and its long-standing focus on accessibility and community inclusion.
Written and directed by Elisa Dalla Longa and Augusto Palombini - with coordination by Alfonsina Pagano - from the Institute of Heritage Science of the CNR (ISPC-CNR), the story is enriched by numerous voices from the scientific community, the museum, the local neighbourhood, and civic associations. Interviewees include: Giorgio Manzi, Fabio De Vincenzo, Luca Pandolfi, Carlo Rosa, Donatella Magri, Letizia Silvestri, Patrizia Gioia, Gian Luca Zanzi, Michele Rech alias Zerocalcare, Daniele Ferdani, Anna De Santis, Valeria Valsecchi, Massimo Ruffo, Leda Tripodi, Marta Di Berti, and other voices from the Pleistocene.
Scientific supervision provided by Patrizia Gioia, Carlo Rosa, Letizia Silvestri, and Gianluca Zanzi. Produced by Forma Ludica.
An integrated media player allows for immediate listening from any web browser on desktop or mobile devices.
